It’s back by popular demand.  The AGS Quiz and Curry Night!

The AGS Quiz and Curry Night is one of the fastest selling nights of the year and for good reason.  Who doesn’t like answering questions like “what was the first Mister Men book?”, “which individual has won the most Oscars?”, and “can you name the world’s largest desert?”, while stuffing their face with delicious curry?

Secure your tickets by simply filling in the form QUIZ NIGHT FLYER 2018 and handing it in to the school office before the 19th of Feb, 2018.  You can pay by Parent Pay or by cheque but act quickly to avoid disappointment.

Thanks so much,

The PTA

Oh, and it’s Mr Tickle, Walt Disney and Antarctica, in case you were wondering.

How Can I Help?
You can help support the PTA in a variety of ways depending on how much time you can spare.

The PTA is a group of parents, who organise and run events, with the support of the school, to raise funds for AGS. The PTA meets regularly to brainstorm and organise, usually in a sociable environment, and we would love you to join us.

We run a huge variety of events throughout the school year, such as the Curry & Quiz Night, the Burns Night Supper, the School Paintballing Day, the Summer Fair, and many more. Our events are always well supported and provide a great opportunity to meet other parents and staff.

The money that the PTA raises is vital for those extras that education budgets struggle to support. Last year, the PTA raised funds to refurbish a science classroom. This year, our target is to raise £25,000 for new computer hardware for the Computer Science Room CS2. In addition to this, the PTA funds various Departmental Bursaries and student reward schemes. Further details of what the PTA has funded over the last few years are available here.

The PTA can always use more hands and explore new ideas. So, if you would like to find out more about how to join the PTA then please E-Mail us

Paintballing

Paintballing

The whole school annual paintball day is held at Sabotage Paintball near Swanbourne, between Milton Keynes and Winslow. We have the whole site to ourselves so the organisers design the programme to suit us, and we can take up to 60 participants - pupils, parents, teachers, friends. The laser event is restricted to 135 participants. We also encourage the High School/Mums/sisters to come along and bring some girlfriends!

Fundraising Initatives

Raffles

The PTA holds two major raffles each year - one during the Autumn term to be drawn at Christmas and one during the Summer Term to be drawn at the Fete. All parents are sent tickets via the boys so please do look out for them as they tend to get lost in bags.
There are many prizes for each raffle with the first three printed on each ticket.
If anybody has any unwanted christmas presents they wish to donate for any of our raffles - we are always happy to accept them
